About

A six month sabbatical. Six months away from the everyday tasks of a 33 year career. For someone who’s operated a mimeograph machine, was awed by the word processor, and remembers the mystical properties of the fax machine, this is quite an opportunity. There’s no shortage of intriguing professional outcomes to be met, but I’m also embarking on some personal development. Some megrowth as I’ve come to think of it.

Straw bale gardening, foodie fun, antiques, writing, friends, reading, learning to blog, and some back road explorations come to mind but I’m sure the whole experience will be dusted with some unplanned and unexpected as well. I certainly hope so. Less structure, more curiosity and pursuit.

“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” John Lennon

I’m kind of interested to see how this turns out.

I can’t say what style and form the documentation of this megrowth will take but I’ll commit to its capture in one way or another and that’s what will live here. Here is where I’m learning to blog, editing and changing the content as I go.
